Job description

JOB SUMMARY:

Maintains the facilities maintenance of Universal Orlando buildings and completes specific work orders, including, but not limited to, masonry, tile, pavers, and woodwork. Handles daily trouble calls from the dispatcher. Completes special projects and other shop work as directed by the supervisor or the lead.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Perform rough-in carpentry, including framing, sheet goods, wood decking, dock work, and repairing wood and metal stud work.
• Carry out trim work such as moldings, turnings, laminate application, cabinet work, and installation of windows and doors.
• Install and repair exterior finishes including Dry-Vit, EIFIS, and Stucco.
• Repair and finish walkways and roadways throughout the parks.
• Inspect and maintain theater seating, furniture, restroom stall doors, and partitions.
• Install and repair interior wall and floor tiles and coverings of various materials.
• Repair and install various hardware, including door closures, panic hardware, mortise, and cylindrical locks.
• Participate actively in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following UO policies, procedures, training, and team member involvement activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

SCOPE:

Maintains the facilities of Universal Orlando buildings, completing work orders involving masonry, tile, pavers, and woodwork. Handles trouble calls from the dispatcher and completes special projects as directed by supervisors or leads.

EDUCATION:

High school diploma or GED required.

EXPERIENCE:

• 3-5 years of general carpentry and construction experience, including framing, drywall, trim work, masonry, and tile.
• Preferred: 3-5 years of commercial roofing experience.
• Or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
