Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking skilled Maintenance Technicians to keep mechanical power transmission equipment running safely and efficiently across our facilities.

You will diagnose equipment, perform repairs and preventive maintenance, and support hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems with attention to safety and quality. Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing or facilities maintenance, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to document work accurately.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years in manufacturing or facilities maintenance with hands-on troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic issues quickly and accurately.
• Basic welding and fabrication skills for repair/modification work.
• Familiarity with hydraulics, pneumatics, and CNC machinery preferred.
• Proficient with 110V/220V/480V systems and multi-phase wiring.
• Able to lift and move heavy components safely.
• Work independently and with teams; follow PPE and safety protocols.
• Willingness to work scheduled hours, including overtime.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose equipment issues and identify root causes to minimize downtime.
• Repair machinery and perform scheduled preventative maintenance.
• Maintain facilities equipment and work area for safety and efficiency.
• Perform maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Document repairs and parts used for record-keeping.
• Support other departments as needed to meet production goals.
