Job summary

Martin Sprocket & Gear, Inc. is seeking Maintenance Technicians to diagnose and repair machinery, perform preventative maintenance, and ensure equipment uptime across our facilities. The role emphasizes safety, documentation, and collaboration with production teams.

You will troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical systems, welding and fabrication as needed, and support fleet maintenance. The 3rd shift offers opportunities and benefits; reporting to Montpelier area in Ohio.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years in a manufacturing or facilities maintenance role.
• Experience in troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
• Basic welding and metal fabrication skills.
• Familiarity with CNC machinery.
• Ability to lift and work in variable temperature environments.
• Safe work practices including PPE.
• Able to work 3rd shift Monday-Thursday 8:30 PM - 7:00 AM.

Responsibilities

• Equipment troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment and machinery issues to identify the root cause of failures, ensuring timely repairs and minimal downtime.
• Repairs and maintenance: Repair machinery and equipment as needed, and perform scheduled preventative maintenance to extend equipment lifespan and prevent breakdowns.
• Facility upkeep: Maintain facilities equipment, tools, and the work area in a clean and orderly condition to promote efficiency and safety.
• Technical maintenance activities: Conduct maintenance on hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems across corporate and manufacturing facilities.
• Safety compliance: Follow all safety protocols, including lockout and tagout procedures, to maintain a secure work environment.
• Repair documentation: Accurately document all repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts used to maintain comprehensive records and track equipment history.
• Departmental support: Assist in other areas or departments as assigned to support overall production and facility needs.
