Job summary

Madison Communities in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to help deliver a top-notch resident experience. You’ll perform day-to-day maintenance in our garden-style communities and ensure apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready.

This on-site, full-time role requires hands-on skills in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, plus a proactive attitude and strong teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1+ year of maintenance experience preferred.
• HVAC, EPA, CPO certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service to residents and teammates.
• Handle day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Respond quickly and professionally to service requests.
• Ensure apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready.
• Work with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs.
• Keep tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized.

Location: - On-site Charlotte, NC | Schedule: Full-Time, 40 Hours/Week

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing outstanding customer service to residents and teammates

What We’re Looking For

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills
• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
