Job summary

Madison Communities in Ruskin, FL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our apartment homes, buildings, and common areas.

You’ll perform HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, respond to service requests promptly, and coordinate with vendors on larger projects. At least 1 year of multifamily maintenance preferred; EPA/HVAC/CPO certs are a plus.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent

Responsibilities

• Providing outstanding customer service to residents and teammates
• Handling day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
• Responding quickly and professionally to service requests
• Ensuring apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready
• Working with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs
• Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized
