Madison Communities is hiring a Maintenance Technician to join our on-site team in Charlotte, NC. You’ll handle daily maintenance tasks across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general repairs, ensuring units are safe, functional, and move-in ready.

You’ll provide excellent resident service, collaborate with vendors, and help maintain a clean, organized work environment while upholding safety standards and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred).
• Hands-on maintenance across multiple trades.
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding resident service and resolve issues promptly.
• Perform day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Respond to service requests quickly and professionally.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Providing outstanding customer service to residents and teammates
• Handling day-to-day maintenance including painting, plumbing, electrical fixtures, HVAC, carpentry, and general repairs
• Responding quickly and professionally to service requests
• Ensuring apartments are safe, functional, and move-in ready
• Working with vendors on specialized projects like landscaping and asphalt repairs
• Keeping tools, equipment, and work areas safe and organized

What We’re Looking For

• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems
• A positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic
• Team-oriented mindset with solid communication skills
• 1+ year of maintenance experience (multifamily preferred)
• Certifications (HVAC, EPA, CPO) are a plus
• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or equivalent
