Job summary

John M. Corcoran & Company in Brockton, MA is seeking a trustworthy maintenance technician to upkeep a property, perform appliance maintenance, install smoke detectors, replace lights, and do routine cosmetic updates to keep the building looking its best.

You will handle daily maintenance requests, respond to emergencies, work with contractors, maintain invoices, and ensure safety. 6 months+ trade experience required; knowledge of electrical/plumbing/heating, ventilation, and air conditioning is

Qualifications

• 6 months+ of trade experience or building maintenance.
• Working knowledge of equipment needed to make repairs, including electrical and mechanical systems.
• Love fixing things and making spaces more pleasing for inhabitants, even in high-stress situations.
• Able to identify safety concerns and solve them.
• Specialized trade experience in plumbing, electrical, roofing, or HVAC is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Execute daily maintenance requests professionally and expediently.
• Remain ready for emergency maintenance needs, emergency flood situations, and back-to-back move-ins.
• Make repairs in the building to doors, locks, tiles, and handrails.
• Monitor and work closely with outside contractors and suppliers.
• Maintain paperwork and invoices related to your work.
