Sprung Services in Arden Hills, MN is seeking a Maintenance Technician / Boiler Operator for the third shift (11 pm–7 am). The role supports a fast-paced production environment with a strong commitment to safety, quality, and productivity.

Key duties include preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems; maintain accurate records; and work both independently and with a team.

Qualifications

• Minnesota 2B Boiler License or higher is required.
• Minimum five years of maintenance experience, with at least one year at the same employer.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred: technical degree or apprenticeship certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, calibration, and observations of equipment operations.
• Troubleshoot and perform emergency/breakdown maintenance to support continuous plant operations.
• Repair and install mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam systems.
• Operate and interpret results from measuring and test equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and accurate maintenance records.

Job Title: Maintenance Technician / Boiler Operator – Third Shift 11 pm – 7 am

Pay Range: $33–$39/hour

The Job You Will Perform:

We are seeking a self-motivated Maintenance Technician / Boiler Operator to join our third shift team. The ideal candidate will thrive in a flexible, fast-paced production environment and demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, quality, customer satisfaction, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication, calibration, run-out measurement, component alignment, and observation of equipment operations, vibration, and noise.
• Troubleshoot and perform emergency/breakdown maintenance to support continuous plant operations.
• Execute mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam system repairs and installations.
• Operate and interpret results from various measuring and test equipment accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including work area cleanup upon task completion.
• Prepare and maintain accurate maintenance records and other required documentation.
• Work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and best practices.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervision.

The Skills You Will Bring:

• Valid Minnesota 2B Boiler License or higher.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Proficiency in pneumatics, electrical systems, PLCs, and hydraulics.
• Ability to read and use various measurement tools and devices accurately.
• Broad experience in mechanical, electrical, and machine shop operations.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Willingness and ability to work overtime as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of maintenance experience, with at least one (1) year at the same employer.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Technical degree or apprenticeship certification.
• Maintenance experience in the corrugated industry or a similar manufacturing environment.
• Candidates advancing in the selection process will be required to complete a skills test, participate in a panel interview, and pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment health assessment.
