Job summary

YDU JC Air Cond & Ref Inc.- Dubai is seeking a skilled individual to operate and maintain high-pressure boilers in Grand Forks, ND. This role requires maintaining a safe flow of steam and performing all necessary maintenance tasks. Candidates should have at least two years of relevant experience and the ability to work on various shifts, including weekends.

In addition to a competitive benefits package, the role offers an hourly rate ranging from $28.71 to $39.47 based on experience and qualifications.

Job description

What you will do:

Under specific direction, this position assists in the production of, and maintaining of a uniform flow of steam by operating high-pressure boilers and maintaining all equipment in the boiler room. Assist in the operation and maintenance of a high-pressure gas/oil fired boiler plant along with all associated equipment on a 24/7 based schedule to include weekends and holidays. Control and adjust boiler fuel-air mixture, pump pressure, tank levels, and other boiler-plant related systems and equipment via automated control systems to ensure good-safe operation while maximizing boiler efficiency. Assist maintenance staff with cleaning, repair and maintenance of boilers and associated equipment. Includes fireside and waterside cleaning along with other maintenance duties assigned. Make entries into a daily shift log, updating fuel usage and maintenance reports. Use of personal computer for maintenance records and data entry. All other duties assigned. Subject to call back to maintain shift coverage and overall plant operation. Selects and lays out required materials per work orders or verbal instructions. Sets up and operates tools and machines incidental to operations. May be required to assist with requisitioning new supplies and equipment. Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures. Complies with all company policies and procedures and adheres to company standards. Perform other duties as required. Must be a team player committed to working in a quality environment.

What we look for:

Required:

• Minimum of two years’ experience in the Maintenance and Operation field.
• Knowledge of trade fundamentals sufficient to perform specialized service and repair work.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented atmosphere while being able to follow verbal and written instruction.
• Physically able to perform basic maintenance tasks to the highest caliber, which includes ability to climb ladders, work in confined spaces, lift heavy objects weighing up to 50 lbs., etc.
• Ability to work varying shifts, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Subject to callbacks seven days a week, 24 hours a day.
• Use of a variety of hand and power tools or forklift.
• May be required to possess a valid driver’s license.

Preferred:

• Equivalent to a Special Class Minnesota Boiler Operator’s License or higher.
• Ability to work from drawing, diagrams, and sketches.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $28.71 - 39.47 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)
