Saks Global, a premier luxury retailer, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support the Operations Maintenance team in repairing and maintaining material handling equipment and pneumatic systems throughout the building. You will install, maintain and repair automated packaging and distribution equipment.

Responsibilities include preventive maintenance, documenting routines, troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues, and collaborating with the Operations team to ensure safe, efficient

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience with automated conveyor systems and controls.
• 2+ years of experience conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures.
• 2+ years of experience in the repair of material handling equipment.
• 1+ years of blueprint and electrical schematic reading.
• 1+ years of knowledge with electrical and electronic principles.
• Ability to work with others as well as independently and be a self-starter.
• Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize many projects and workload.
• Understanding and knowledge of SDS (Safety Data Sheets) information.
• Background or experience in conveyor and forklift operation and repair.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe working environment by following all safety procedures.
• Complete preventative maintenance routines with proper documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems related to all Material Handling Equipment (MHE) including belts, motors, photo-eyes, relays, and more.
• Maintain a positive working relationship across all the Operations facility.
• Track and store department inventory.
• Move up to 50lbs with regular bending, lifting and reaching, and be able to push/pull up to 100 pounds on dollies.
