Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Perryton, TX is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to assist in maintaining and repairing buildings and facilities, including feed systems, water systems, ventilation, and penning for animal production sites. You will use hand and power tools, read work orders, and perform preventive maintenance.

On-call for emergencies and ability to pass DOT medical and have a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or GED; or related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license, acceptable MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect mechanical systems and related facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, and precision measuring devices as required by tasks.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine needed replacements or maintenance.
• Welding of buildings equipment and fabrications related to penning or gating.
• Be on call for emergency situations.
