Job summary

You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect automated feeds, freshwater, recycling systems, ventilation, and penning to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires reading work orders, following specifications, using hand and power tools, and performing welding tasks.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or greater; high school diploma or GED preferred, or 1–3 months experience or training.
• Ability to read and comprehend instructions and work orders; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect automated feed systems, freshwater, recycling, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities.
• Use hand and power tools, precision measuring instruments, and electrical testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine when replacement, repair, or maintenance is required.
• Welding of building equipment including load-out chutes and fabrications of penning or gating.
• Must be on call for emergency situations.
