Job summary

Seaboard Foods is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Iowa Falls, IA to help maintain and repair facilities, supporting live operations and animal safety. This on-site role requires troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and occasional welding to keep feed, ventilation, and systems running smoothly.

The ideal candidate has a two-year technical degree or related experience, ability to read instructions, and a valid driver's license. On-call duties and flexibility are expected.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect automated feed systems, freshwater systems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities sites to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment require replacement, repair or maintenance.
• Welding of buildings equipment including load out chutes, and fabrications of some penning or gating.
• Must be on call available for emergency situations.

Education

Two-year technical degree or greater
