Job summary

Seaboard Foods in Perryton is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to support the upkeep of animal production facilities. You will perform preventive maintenance, repair and inspect systems and equipment to keep operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include welding and fabrications, using hand and power tools, following work orders, and ensuring safety and quality. A technical degree or related experience, plus a valid driver's license, are preferred to join our team.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical degree or greater, High school diploma or GED preferred; or one to three months experience or training; or combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and work orders. Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to apply mathematical concepts to practical situations.
• Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
• Must possess a current valid driver's license, acceptable MVR, and ability to pass DOT physical and obtain medical card

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot, repair, install, and inspect automated feed systems, fresh water systems, recycle systems, cool cells, ventilation, controllers, and penning for animal production facilities sites to ensure operations run efficiently and effectively.
• Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools, such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devices.
• Follow work orders and specifications to determine machines and equipment require replacement, repair or maintenance.
• Welding of buildings equipment including load out chutes, and fabrications of some penning or gating.
• Must be on call available for emergency situations.
