Job summary

Schochet is seeking a Maintenance Technician for Essex Village & King’s Grant in North Kingstown, RI. The role supports a 200+ unit apartment community with a history of growth and strong retention strategies.

Offering a comprehensive benefits package from day one, the position requires handling work orders, turnover tasks, and occasional admin duties, with on-call rotation and travel considerations for emergency calls.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in electrical/plumbing/HVAC & appliance repair is a plus.
• Must live within 30 minutes of North Kingstown and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Completion of all types of work orders from residents.
• Completion of all resident apartment turnover tasks.
• On-call duties as required.
• Opening, tracking and closing work orders may be required.
• Conducting property inspections and/or participating on an inspection team.
• Complete preventative maintenance activities.
• Inspect tools and equipment for safety on an ongoing basis.
