Job summary

Barker Management, Inc. in Los Angeles, CA is hiring a Maintenance Person for a 94-unit property. The role coordinates maintenance work orders, performs routine upkeep, and handles occasional emergencies to ensure safe, clean living spaces for residents.

You will inspect units, manage daily logs, assist with move-ins/outs, and support the regional manager with timely repairs and inventory management. This is a full-time, day-shift position with comprehensive benefits after a probation period.

Qualifications

• Prior experience working at a residential property with 50+ units is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Walk the property grounds twice a day and coordinate maintenance work orders.
• Complete service requests within 24 hours unless extenuating circumstances apply.
• Interior painting, maintenance repairs, exterior cleaning of trash bin areas, stairwells, grounds and parking.
• Shut off water & gas meters in apartments and sewer clean out as needed.
• Assist move-in and move-out inspections.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and maintenance equipment; update weekly.
• Submit daily maintenance logs to the manager every Friday.
• Maintain exterior upkeep: replace glass, lights, screens and perform stucco repairs.
• Directly report to Resident Manager.
• Prepare vacated units for re-rental: paint, clean appliances, carpet, floors and bathrooms.
• Monthly unit inspections; ensure laundry rooms are cleaned daily.
