Job summary

Bachoco Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Fort Smith, AR area to install, maintain, and repair machinery and systems in a manufacturing environment. The role is on third shift and includes a night shift premium and attendance incentives.

The position requires hands-on expertise with electrical and mechanical systems, welding, and PM programs. Benefits include health coverage, 401K, holidays, and vacation. Safety sensitive role with equal opportunity employer statement.

Qualifications

Experience maintaining and repairing industrial machinery.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.
Willingness to work a 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. – 8:00 a.m.).

Responsibilities

Visually inspect machinery and support equipment prior to use.
Test machinery after repair and before use.
Troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment to find root cause.
Dismantle and replace faulty parts; reassemble machinery.
Perform preventive maintenance on shafts, bearings, gears, and related components.
Install and repair electrical apparatus and piping systems.
Operate welding equipment and basic machine tools for repairs.
Assist with layout and fabrication of machine parts as needed.
Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.

Position Summary: Installs, maintains, and repairs machinery, equipment, and piping/electrical systems in commercial or industrial establishments:

Visually inspects machinery and support equipment prior to use
Test machinery and supporting equipment after repair and prior to use
Troubleshoots inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment to detect root cause
- Listens for unusual sounds
- Feels for unusual vibration
- Communicates with users regarding variation specifics
Dismantles inoperable or malfunctioning machinery and supporting equipment, installs new or repaired parts and reassembles the machinery or supporting equipment
Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of the machinery and supporting equipment as part of the Preventative Maintenance Program
Installs and repairs electrical apparatus (transformers and wiring, electrical and electronic components) of machinery and supporting equipment
Lays out, assembles, installs, and maintains piping systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment
Repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment
Repairs and maintains physical structure(s) of the establishment
Operates cutting torch or welding equipment to cut or join metal parts
Sets up and operates machine tools such as a lathe, grinder, drill, and milling machinery to repair or fabricate machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools
Other duties as assigned
