Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC in Union Springs, AL is seeking a maintenance mechanic to assist in the repair and preventative maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems at our poultry processing plant. You’ll use blueprints and diagrams to keep equipment operating within specification and safety standards.

Candidates should have at least 1 year of industrial maintenance experience, basic math and tool skills, and be able to work nights, weekends and extended shifts.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• NOCTI Level 1 test passed.
• Minimum 1 year in industrial maintenance or related knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Repair and perform preventive maintenance on industrial machinery using blueprints/schematics.
• Identify root causes and perform repairs including welding, fabrication, or pipefitting.
• Identify unsafe conditions and report to appropriate personnel.
• Assist with maintaining blueprints, operating manuals, and procedures.
• Follow safety policies and company guidelines in all tasks.
• Other duties as assigned.

PAY: ($25.65 - $35.50) + $3,000 Sign & Stay Bonus3rd: 9:00PM - 5:30 AMBENEFITS: Available first day of hirePRIMARY FUNCTION:Primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems/types of industrial equipment for poultry processing plant. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using blueprints and diagrams to verify that all equipment is operating within required specifications and tolerances. May perform periodic testing and inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
