Job summary

Wayne Farms LLC is seeking a maintenance technician to support the poultry processing plant with preventive and predictive maintenance of mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and conveying systems. You will read blueprints/diagrams to ensure equipment runs within specifications and tolerances, perform periodic testing, and repair as needed. The role requires 1 year of relevant experience and NOCTI Level 1; you must lift up to 60 lbs and work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Pass NOCTI Mechanical/Electrical test, Level 1 required.
  • Minimum 1 year experience in industrial machine predictive and preventative maintenance or demonstrated applicable mechanical and electrical knowledge.
  • Ability to operate/use basic hand and power tools.
  • Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays and extended shift hours.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and perform preventative maintenance on industrial machinery using blueprint and schematic drawings.
  • Identify root causes of mechanical issues and perform repairs by welding, fabricating parts, basic pipefitting or replacing defective components.
  • Identify unsafe conditions and correct them; report if unable to correct.
  • Assist with maintaining blueprints, operating manuals and procedures.
  • Work in compliance with safety policies and regulations.

SHIFT HOURS:1st Shift: 5:30am-7:00pm2nd Shift: 5:25 pm-6:00 amJOB INCENTIVES:Pay starting at $25.45/hrBenefits available on Day 1On-the-job trainingPRIMARY FUNCTION:Primarily responsible for assisting in the maintenance and repair of various mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic and conveying systems/types of industrial equipment for poultry processing plant. Perform preventative and predictive maintenance using blueprints and diagrams to verify that all equipment is operating within required specifications and tolerances. May perform periodic testing and inspections, troubleshooting and repairs.
