Come join our team! We are a manufacturing company based out of Traverse City since 1995 and are looking for a 1st shift and 3rd shift maintenance technician with a proven track record to join our team in our Grand Rapids location.

Job Description

The maintenance techs respond to machine and system failures and must be able to troubleshoot when necessary. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance to ensure all machines are functioning safely and efficiently. Candidates must understand electronics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics. Previous experience with flexographic printers and die cutters is preferred.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a working knowledge and experience with:

• Previous repair and maintenance (machine mechanical/electrical/hydraulics) required
• Preventive maintenance inspection (PM), diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding major equipment/components including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, diverters, compressors, motors, glass breakers, fans, pumps, forklifts, and building equipment
• Strong knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and automation devices
• Ability to read plant prints, sketches, and use them for fabrication or repair
• Effective communication skills, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
• Willingness to work overtime
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods
