Come join our team! We are a manufacturing company based out of Traverse City since 1995 and are looking for a 1st shift and 3rd shift maintenance technician with a proven track record to join our team at our Grand Rapids location.

Job description

The maintenance technicians respond to machine and system failures and must be able to troubleshoot effectively. This role also involves performing preventative maintenance to ensure all machines operate safely and efficiently. Candidates should understand electronics, electricity, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanics. Experience with flexographic printers and die cutters is preferred.

Qualifications

Candidates should have knowledge and experience in:

• Machine repair and maintenance (mechanical, electrical, hydraulics)
• Preventive maintenance inspections (PM), diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding major equipment including balers, conveyors, hydraulic power packs, diverters, compressors, motors, glass breakers, fans, pumps, forklifts, and building equipment
• Pneumatic, hydraulic, electro-mechanical, and automation devices
• Reading and interpreting plant prints and sketches for fabrication or repair
• Effective communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
• Willingness to work overtime
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
• Ability to stand, bend, or kneel for extended periods
