Job Overview

We are currently looking for a 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician 1 to join our team in Holland.

Schedule: Sunday - Thursday, 10:30 pm - 6:30 am, OT as needed

Responsibilities include installing, modifying, repairing, and maintaining machinery and equipment. Perform various maintenance duties including preventative maintenance (PMs), plumbing, welding, and carpentry. May fabricate and sharpen various cutting tools.

Major Responsibilities

• Perform machine and equipment maintenance including greasing and oiling, as well as preventive maintenance duties, ensuring equipment remains in good working order.
• Modify and repair machinery and equipment based on instructions, blueprints, sketches, and diagnostic skills to meet production schedules.
• Set up and operate equipment to fabricate and sharpen tools, maintaining proper inventory levels.
• Assist Machine Repairers with installation, removal, and relocation of machinery and equipment.
• Create and complete work requests and work orders, source parts, and maintain documentation of equipment.

Qualifications

Education: 8th Grade

Work Experience:

• At least one year of maintenance-related experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain powered industrial truck certification.
• Ability to obtain and maintain Michigan driver license.

Environmental and Physical Demands

• Work involves large machinery, potential for cuts, scrapes, or bruises.
• Exposure to dust, noise, solvents, heat, paint, lubricants, glue, fiberglass, and alcohol.
• Requires constant mental and visual alertness to avoid injuries.
• Use of eye and hearing protection as required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with assistance for heavier objects.
• Requires walking, bending, twisting, reaching, lifting, standing, and climbing stairs and ladders.

Additional Requirements

Applicants must have an unrestricted right to work in the US.

Preferred skills include proficiency with electronic maintenance systems, reading blueprints, operating company vehicles and lifts, troubleshooting, sourcing parts, and mechanical aptitude.
