Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. – Midland Division in Franksville, WI is hiring for a full-time On-site Maintenance Technician.

Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime; perform preventive maintenance; read schematics; inspect machinery; repair corrugated converting equipment; operate cutting torches and welding; follow 5S and LOTO; collaborate with production to meet goals.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Industrial maintenance experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on equipment.
• Read electrical schematics, blueprints, and parts lists to repair/install.
• Inspect machinery to identify issues and recommend actions.
• Maintain and improve corrugated converting equipment.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic work.
• Operate cutting torches and welding equipment.
• Repair facility structures and systems.
• Support continuous improvement for equipment performance and safety.
• Maintain organized, safe work environment per 5S and safety standards.
• Follow Lockout/Tagout procedures as required.
• Collaborate with production and other departments to meet goals.
• Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Undertake other duties and special projects as assigned.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair manufacturing equipment to minimize downtime and maximize production efficiency.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance activities on equipment according to established maintenance programs and procedures.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, electrical schematics, blueprints, and parts lists to safely repair, maintain, and install equipment.
• Inspect machinery and facility systems regularly to identify potential issues and recommend corrective actions before failures occur.
• Maintain, repair, and improve corrugated converting equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
• Perform basic electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and fabrication work as needed.
• Operate cutting torches, welding equipment, and other maintenance tools to repair or fabricate components.
• Repair and maintain the physical structure of the facility, including both interior and exterior building systems.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve equipment performance, reliability, and safety.
• Maintain an organized, clean, and safe work environment consistent with 5S principles.
• Strictly follow all Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety standards while performing maintenance activities.
• Collaborate effectively with production personnel and other departments to support operational goals.
• Comply with all company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Industrial maintenance, manufacturing, or related technical experience.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair abilities.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and basic electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and equipment documentation.
• Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple responsibilities.
