Job summary

Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our production machinery running safely and efficiently on 2nd and 3rd shifts. The role requires self-motivation, ability to plan and prioritize work, and collaboration within a team-based system.

You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs, preventive and predictive maintenance, and report issues to supervision. Strong troubleshooting, communication skills, and a commitment to continuous improvement are essential.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of AC/DC drives/motors, mechanical systems, pneumatics and hydraulics.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Mill and lathe experience is a plus.
  • Must pass a Maintenance Aptitude test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical duties to keep machines, equipment, and facility in repair.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance functions for a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to Supervisor and Crew Leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Crew Leader in a safe manner, according to all relevant codes.

Job description

The Maintenance Technician must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. These 2nd and 3rd shift positions require self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their work load, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Good troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis skills are required to make proper repairs. Preventive and predictive skills are required to keep equipment running safe and efficient. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement of technical skills and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands.

Responsibilities

  • Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Design and fabrication
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery
  • Mill and lathe experience is a plus
  • Must take a Maintenance Aptitude test
