Green Bay Packaging Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support 2nd and 3rd shifts.

You will perform mechanical and electrical repairs, conduct preventive and predictive maintenance, troubleshoot equipment, and work in a team to keep machinery running safely and efficiently. Candidates should have knowledge of AC/DC wiring, drives, PLCs (AB, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff), pneumatics and hydraulics, mechanical systems, and a willingness to test maintenance aptitude.

Qualifications

  • AC/DC wiring methods and drives/motors are essential.
  • Familiarity with PLCs from AB, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff.
  • Knowledge of touchscreens, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical systems.
  • Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery.
  • Mill or lathe experience is a plus; readiness to take a maintenance aptitude test.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical and electrical duties to keep machines, equipment, and facility in repair.
  • Perform preventative and predictive maintenance functions for a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Report irregularities, maintenance needs, and quality problems to Supervisor and Crew Leader.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area.
  • Performs any other duties as assigned by the Supervisor or Crew Leader in a safe manner

Job description

Position Overview

The Maintenance Technician must work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner. These 2nd and 3rd shift positions require self-motivated individuals willing to work safely in a team based system. They need to have the ability to schedule their work, prioritize their work load, and complete tasks in a timely manner. Good troubleshooting skills and root cause analysis skills are required to make proper repairs. Preventive and predictive skills are required to keep equipment running safe and efficient. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are a must. A desire for continuous improvement of technical skills and quality workmanship are required to meet our customers increasing demands.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

The qualified candidates will have knowledge in the following areas:

  • AC/DC wiring methods
  • AC/DC drives/motors
  • PLCs (Allen Bradley, Siemens, B&R, Beckhoff)
  • Touchscreens
  • Mechanical systems (bearing, alignment, chains, belts)
  • Pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Design and fabrication
  • Preventive and predictive maintenance on production machinery
  • Mill and lathe experience is a plus
  • Must take a Maintenance Aptitude test
