The position requires basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting skills. You will work with hand and power tools, ensure logs are kept, and help train Maintenance Apprentices and Porters.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic skills in carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and painting.
• Ability to demonstrate proficiency in the use of hand and power tools.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; customer service orientation.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine, preventive, scheduled, and emergency maintenance to ensure a safe, attractive living environment.
• Complete resident service requests with timely, accurate work and maintain logs/records.
• Assist in apartment turnovers, repairs, renovations, painting, and cleaning of vacant units.
• Maintain grounds, handle snow removal, and ensure safe dumpster areas.
• Provide guidance to Maintenance Apprentices & Porters; respond to emergencies as needed.
