Job summary

Seaman Paper is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 in Orange, MA to support production with preventive maintenance, equipment setup, and hands-on repair work on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM-11:00 PM).

You will assist with machine maintenance, safety checks, LOTO, and use CMMS to document activities while promoting a clean, safe manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand manuals, policies, and procedures provided by equipment manufacturers (OEMs).
• Basic problem-solving skills when working with mechanical machinery.
• Familiarity with the proper use of hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a maintenance team.
• Self-motivated, responsible, and safety-oriented.
• Dependable and committed to maintaining a safe and productive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance as described within assigned work orders.
• Perform routine machine setup, including adjustments to or replacement of blades on guillotines.
• Assist Level 1 and Level 2 technicians with larger and more complex equipment repairs.
• Communicate with production and maintenance team members regarding equipment needs and issues.
• Conduct routine safety checks.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) when working on equipment.
• Use the CMMS system to document work orders and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and maintenance practices.
• Support other maintenance activities and projects as needed.
