Job summary

Seaman Paper is seeking a Maintenance Technician 3 in Orange, MA to support production through preventive maintenance, equipment setup, and hands-on technical assistance.

This full-time role covers 2nd shift (3:00 PM–11:00 PM) in a safety‑driven manufacturing environment. Strong mechanical aptitude and pride in quality work are essential for maintaining efficient operations.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance as described in work orders.
• Perform machine setup and blade adjustments on guillotines.
• Assist Level 1 and Level 2 technicians with larger equipment repairs.
• Communicate equipment needs and issues with production and maintenance teams.
• Conduct routine safety checks and follow LOTO procedures.
• Document maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Support other maintenance activities and projects as needed.

We're looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Maintenance Technician 3 to join our Maintenance team. You'll support our production and maintenance teams through routine preventive maintenance, equipment setup, and hands-on technical assistance.

What You'll Do

• Carry out routine preventive maintenance as described within assigned work orders.
• Perform routine machine setup, including adjustments to or replacement of blades on guillotines.
• Assist Level 1 and Level 2 technicians with larger and more complex equipment repairs.
• Communicate with production and maintenance team members regarding equipment needs and issues.
• Conduct routine safety checks.
• Perform Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) when working on equipment.
• Use the CMMS system to document work orders and maintenance activities.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and maintenance practices.
• Support other maintenance activities and projects as needed.

Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This is a hands-on maintenance position in a manufacturing environment. The role requires standing, walking, climbing stairs, and working around operating machinery and production equipment.

The position requires the ability to:

• Stand, walk, climb stairs, and work throughout the facility.
• Occasionally lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Safely use hand tools, power tools, and measurement devices.
• Work safely around moving machinery and production equipment.
• Perform maintenance activities, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO).
