Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Raymond, MS is seeking a Technician Maintenance on the 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday). The role focuses on troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automotive service equipment, with potential for advancement and competitive total pay including a 50-cent shift differential.

The position requires completing a technical certificate, forklift operation, and ability to read blueprints and manuals.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred; AA degree is highly desirable.
• 2 years experience in industry or a combination of education and experience of at least 2 years is required.
• Ability to operate a forklift.
• Ability to use hand tools such as hand drills and air tools.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
• Ability to perform basic math in all units of measure.
• Basic skill level of computer programs such as Microsoft Office are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Observe and follow all safety rules and wear PPE.
• Work overtime or weekends as scheduled.
• Troubleshoot and repair malfunctioning equipment.
• Dismantle devices to access and replace defective parts.
• Pull wires through conduit and connect/disconnect electrical equipment.
• Use hand and power tools to perform repairs.
• Initiate purchase requisitions for parts and machines.
• Repair electrical equipment following safety protocols and lockout/tagout.
