Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Raymond, MS is seeking a Technician, Maintenance on 2nd shift (2:30pm-11pm, Monday-Friday) to repair and maintain machinery and equipment including engines and production lines. The role requires reading blueprints, using hand tools, and performing welding as needed.

Qualifications

• One year certificate from college or technical school preferred.
• Two years’ experience in industry or a combination of education and experience of at least 2 years is required.
• Ability to operate forklift and use hand tools such as hand drills and air tools.
• Basic reading and math skills, including reading and interpreting simple instructions.

Responsibilities

• Observes and follows all safety rules and wears appropriate PPE.
• Troubleshooting and repairing malfunctioning equipment.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts and install new or repaired parts.
• Reads blueprints or manuals as a guide for repairs.
• Operates welding equipment as needed.
• Must be able to operate a forklift, crane, and tow motor to transport materials.
