Job summary

Hunter Engineering Company in Durant, MS is seeking a Certified Welder for the 2nd shift (3:30 pm-12 am, Mon-Fri). You will position, align, fit, and weld metal components according to drawings and tolerances to support automotive service equipment production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, welding certification, and about one year of welding experience. You should read blueprints, use measuring tools, and be able to work overtime with opportunities for advancement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Welding certification test required at Hunter.
• Approximately 1 year welding experience in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Observes and follows all safety rules.
• Read blueprints and tolerances to position and weld parts.
• Set up, fit, and weld parts to design drawings and specifications.
• Possess own welding helmet and basic measuring tools.
• Maintain clean and orderly work area.
• Possibility to train other operators.
