Qualifications

• Technical school training or equivalent experience in electrical, mechanical or refrigeration.
• Ability to operate forklift and material handling equipment.
• Ability to read and understand schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of hazardous waste handling procedures to comply with regulations.
• Basic welding skills.
• General maintenance knowledge with strong mechanical and construction aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair and maintain electrical, mechanical and refrigeration equipment per procedures.
• Ensure equipment is repaired to meet safety standards.
• Provide maintenance department support and be a team player.
• Detect and report faulty operations, materials or conditions to supervisor.
• Follow safety rules and wear required safety equipment.
• Keep work areas clean and ensure tools and waste are cleared before returning equipment.
• Cross-train and perform other duties as assigned.
