Job summary

Molex Busbar is seeking a maintenance technician for our Illinois manufacturing site in Monee. This full-time, second-shift role supports production and facility equipment, performing diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance to keep operations running safely and efficiently.

Responsibilities include inspecting machinery, testing and repairing equipment, and troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues using drawings and measurement tools.

Qualifications

• Completion of a craft apprenticeship or equivalent production maintenance experience.
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills, plus some PLC experience and HVAC.
• 1 year of electrical and mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of CNC machines, lathes and high velocity presses.

Responsibilities

• Inspect machinery to diagnose malfunctions and repair or replace defective equipment.
• Test and repair malfunctioning production equipment and notify relevant personnel.
• Perform routine maintenance on equipment including presses, cutters, turrets, laser cutting, water jet, pem inserters, CNC, mills, air compressors and dryers.
• Perform Preventative Maintenance and help improve documentation.
• Repair and diagnose issues on all equipment within the facility.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues using drawings, DMM, or support.
• Maintain knowledge of safety and environmental standards.
• Work independently and make critical repairs with minimal supervision.
• Assemble and install equipment using hand and power tools, welders, hoists and drills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
