Job summary

Greif is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift (Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–10:30 PM) in Carol Stream, IL. You will perform preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and electrical equipment, troubleshoot issues, read diagrams and work orders, and calibrate machinery while adhering to safety policies.

The role requires 3–5 years of relevant experience and strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills in a fast-paced environment. Overtime is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with technical training and 3–5 years of relevant experience.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical drawings and work orders.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, PLC, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
• Familiarity with injection molding machines.
• Proficient with hand tools, measuring instruments, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Performs preventive maintenance and repairs on manufacturing and electrical equipment.
• Troubleshoots machine issues and performs root cause analyses.
• Reads manuals, diagrams, drawings, and work orders to perform maintenance.
• Assembles, installs, calibrates, and replaces machinery and components.
• Follows plant safety policies and Lean initiatives; supports junior colleagues.
• Overtime may be required.
