Job summary

MSI Express, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Batavia, IL to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain equipment per electrical diagrams and manuals. Responsibilities include documenting work in CMMS, performing preventive maintenance, and fabricating parts as needed.

The role requires hands-on skills in electrical and mechanical systems, welding, and safe operation of shop tools. Competitive starting pay and full-time schedule with weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Ability to write work orders, parts requests, shift logs and reports.
• Read safety rules and maintenance manuals; interpret manuals.
• Stand, walk, bend, climb and lift up to 50 lbs regularly; up to 100 lbs occasionally.
• High school diploma required; 2 years in an industrial setting preferred.
• Experience with electrical controls and PLC troubleshooting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance and inspections on belts, drives, and fluids.
• Document work using a CMMS on a mobile device.
• Troubleshoot and repair motors, conveyors, PLCs, touch screens, and electrical systems.
• Weld, fabricate, and modify parts; overhaul gearboxes and actuators as needed.
• Train junior technicians and operators on equipment and best practices.
