Hillman Group in Cincinnati, OH seeks a maintenance technician for a full-time, third-shift role. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair equipment supporting manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Responsibilities include repairing various systems, conducting preventative maintenance, calibrations, and maintaining safety and cleanliness. Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology preferred.

Qualifications

  • Two to five years related experience.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision. Flexible able to quickly shift priorities as needed.
  • Able to work from verbal and written instructions.

  • Repairs electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; tests motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, and related equipment.
  • Performs general and preventative maintenance on multiple production systems.
  • Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during maintenance.
  • Applies knowledge to test/modify operational machinery and control equipment.
  • Completes daily maintenance reports accurately.
  • Maintains a clean, organized work environment and conserves resources.
  • Follows safety policies and reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Job Summary

Installs, troubleshoots, and repairs a variety of equipment and machinery to support manufacturing, packaging, and distribution operations. Diagnoses problems and recommends solutions.

This is a full-time, third-shift position. Regular hours are Sunday through Thursday. Sunday hours are 9:00 PM - 5:00 AM, and Monday through Thursday hours are 10:00 PM - 6:00 AM. Overtime may be required based on operational needs.

Essential Job Functions *
  • Uses knowledge and experience to resolve complex operating problems (some examples below) in a timely manner; reports other problems to Supervisor. Typical items include repairing various electrical, vacuum, mechanical, and pneumatic systems; performing mechanical calibrations and alignments; assembling and testing motor-control devices, switch panels, transformers, generator windings, solenoids, and other machinery related equipment.
  • Preform general and preventative maintenance multiple production systems in and around the facility.
  • Performs mechanical calibrations and alignments during preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Applies related knowledge to test and/or modify operational machinery and control equipment.
  • Accurately completes daily maintenance reports.
  • Maintains a clean and organized work environment and conserves resources by using equipment and supplies to accomplish job results without waste.
  • Follows safety policies and procedures; reports unsafe conditions to Supervisor.

Education & Experience
  • Typical education required Associate Degree, Military, or Civilian Equivalent in Industrial Maintenance Technology.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
Work Environment

Maintenance: Self-paced, 8 hr shifts. May be exposed to fumes, loud noises and extreme temperatures infrequently. Functional near, far and peripheral vision and functional hearing required.

Physical Demands

Maintenance: Medium - Very heavy, lifting up to 150 lbs.
