Quanex in Cambridge, OH is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the 2nd shift from 2:45pm to 11:00pm. The role focuses on maintaining and repairing equipment to keep production lines running to company standards.

The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of manufacturing experience, PLC troubleshooting, and strong electrical knowledge. The position offers an hourly rate starting at $25.00 with a $1.50 shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts, and a full benefits package.

Competenze

• HS Diploma; technical degree preferred.
• 3-5 years related experience in manufacturing setting.
• PLC troubleshooting and modification experience.
• Basic knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic systems.
• Basic knowledge of chilled water systems, HVAC.
• Strong electrical experience.
• Print reading and wiring.
• Detail oriented, dependable, self-motivated.
• Ability to complete written reports; computer skills.

• Perform required maintenance of all equipment.
• Assist in implementing new equipment and improvements & troubleshooting to existing equipment.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance and production staff to resolve maintenance issues in a timely manner.
• Track and report maintenance issues or future reference.
• Follow safety procedures and guidelines along with assisting in modifying and updating procedures.
• Ensure compound retains are rotated accordingly.
• Continually be advised of equipment updates and operational issues and take action as needed.
• Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned.
• Communicate effectively with maintenance & productions staff to resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Ability to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Ability to read electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Support general maintenance activities as needed.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including off shifts and weekends as needed.
• Continued education-internal & external training opportunities.
• Ability to handle and resolve problems.
• Ability to perform any other work-related functions as requested by Management.
• General housekeeping and perform daily/weekly 5S duties.
• Operate forklift/fill out daily forklift checklist when needed.

Your Credentials:
