Quanex is seeking a Maintenance Technician II-2nd Shift for our Orwell, Ohio location to ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

The role offers an hourly range of $27.29 to $40.94, with 8-hour shifts from Monday to Friday, 2:00pm–10:30pm. This full-time position includes bonus potential, 401(k) with company match, ESPP, disability plans, life insurance, PTO and holidays, and tuition support.

Competenze

• 2–3 years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, and electrical components preferred.
• Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals.

Description

Quanex is looking for a Maintenance Technician II- 2nd Shift to join our team located in Orwell, Ohio.

The Maintenance Technician will ensure robust operation of equipment through preventative maintenance and continuous improvement.

Hourly Rate: $25.93-$38.33/hr. commensurate with experience w/ possible increase after a 90-Day Performance Evaluation.

Schedule: 8-hour shifts- Monday-Friday 2:00pm-10:30pm

What Success Looks Like:

• Performing general maintenance of all equipment.
• Assisting in the implementation of new equipment and equipment improvements.
• Performing thorough work and follow-through on the repairs through feedback from internal customers.
• Communicate with other maintenance personnel and line workers to solve equipment issues and perform sustainable solutions.
• Must be able to diagnose failed components and safely work on voltages up to 480V.
• Must know how to properly use a digital voltmeter (DVM).
• Continually coordinate equipment updates, and operational issues with off shift maintenance personnel and other team members as needed.
• knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components.
• Attend outside training and seminars for continual education.

Your Credentials:

• 2-3 years of maintenance experience
• Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), drives, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and other electrical components experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Electrical fundamentals
