Job summary

Kruger Packaging in Elizabethtown, KY seeks a Maintenance Technician for 2nd and 3rd shifts to ensure safe, reliable operation of production equipment. You will perform preventive maintenance, troubleshoot issues, and repair mechanical and electrical components to minimize downtime.

Responsibilities include identifying root causes, supporting equipment improvements, and collaborating with operators, supervisors, and engineering.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• Associate Degree Preferred.
• Prior experience in the paper or corrugated packaging industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance on equipment.
• Identify root causes of equipment failures using schematics, meters, PLC indicators, and operator feedback.
• Repair or replace motors, bearings, belts, chains, rollers, cylinders, valves, sensors, and other components to restore safe operation.
• Respond to breakdowns, assist with machine setups, and ensure equipment runs to specifications during shifts.
• Recommend process or equipment improvements and support reliability initiatives.
