Job summary

Pilgrim’s is seeking a Maintenance Technician to serve as the first line of response for equipment issues and keep machinery running safely across the facility. Based mainly in the maintenance workshop, you will inspect, troubleshoot, and perform preventive and emergency repairs while remaining mobile to handle breakdowns on the production floor.

You’ll work with welding and electrical systems, follow safety procedures, and support the Maintenance and Plant Operations Teams through hands‑on

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required, certifications encouraged
• Willingness to obtain Lock Out/Tag Out, Pallet Jack and Forklift certifications; if already holding, may remain valid
• Passing IMPACT level 2 test with a score of 40 or higher
• 1+ years maintenance experience preferred, basic welding and electrical system knowledge
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more

Responsibilities

• Identify and apply standard symbols used in industrial documentation
• Diagnose and repair drive-related issues to ensure optimal performance
• Perform preventive maintenance and troubleshoot bearing failures
• Assist in motor testing, diagnostics, and basic repairs
• Analyze and troubleshoot electrical circuits using Ohm’s Law and Kirchhoff’s Laws
• Safely use multimeters and other diagnostic tools
• Execute welding operations following safety and quality standards
• Interpret welding symbols and apply appropriate techniques for repairs and fabrication
• Take on additional responsibilities to support Maintenance and Plant Operations Teams
