Job summary

Union Community Care in Lancaster, PA is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to maintain grounds and repairs, respond to security calls, and inspect equipment and building integrity. You will help ensure a safe, functional environment for staff and patients.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, a PA driver’s license, and one year of security experience; familiarity with carpentry, plumbing, and painting tools is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• English proficiency required for daily communication.
• Experience using carpentry, plumbing and painting tools is necessary.
• One year of security experience preferred.
• Valid PA driver’s license required.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Inspect premises for irregularities such as signs of intrusion or service interruption.
• Respond to emergency calls from security systems and coordinate with authorities.
• Inspect alarm systems, fire extinguishers, and safety equipment.
• Paint walls, floors, woodwork and fixtures using various tools.
• Repair counters and wooden structures with carpentry tools.
• Open clogged drains and perform minor repairs.
• Clean and lubricate machine shafts, bearings and gears as needed.
• Maintain exterior grounds: lawn care, snow removal, and landscaping.
• Wash interior and exterior windows as required.
