Responsibilities

• Perform a wide variety of general building, facilities and equipment maintenance repairs and services.
• Grounds keeping within the facility and outside the building including the property.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Repair plumbing fixtures and address leaks; toilet repair and drain cleaning.
• Ensure safety standards comply with company and regulatory guidelines.
• Perform limited electrical work including wiring for switches, outlets and lighting; inspect electrical systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues on equipment and within the facility.
• Contribute to team effort by taking on related duties.

Job description

Job Summary

The Maintenance Technician performs a wide variety of general maintenance and repairs of the building, facilities and equipment including carpentry, plumbing, equipment moves, troubleshooting, painting tasks, and other basic needs of the facility.

Primary Duties

• Perform a wide variety of general building, facilities and equipment maintenance repairs and services
• Grounds keeping- within facility and outside the building including the property.
• Complete scheduled preventative maintenance tasks.
• Replace washers, faucets and seals on malfunctioning plumbing equipment; repair leaky faucets and clean clogged drains, toilet repair.
• Assure safety standards are used which comply with all company, local, City, State and Federal guidelines
• Ensure mechanical and physical safeguards are used when performing equipment repair
• Performs limited electrical installation and repair work in wiring for switches, outlets, plugs, cables, and power circuits; repairs lighting systems; inspects electrical systems for unsafe conditions.
• Troubleshoot electrical/mechanical issues on equipment and within the facility.
• Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related duties that may be outside of assigned priorities

Education / Experience

• Working knowledge of techniques, materials, tools and equipment used for completion of the described job duties
• Fork/Scissor lift license or ability to obtain license required
• Lock out / Tag out training or the ability to receive training
• Bloodborne Pathogens training or the ability to receive training
