Job summary

Avery Dennison in Fitchburg, MA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to repair and maintain equipment and facility. Responsibilities include planned and predictive maintenance, diagnosing failures, and repairing machinery across conveyors, motors and production lines.

Typical hours are 7:00am to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, with a hiring range of $32 to $40 per hour. Required: a high school diploma, 3–5 years experience, and relevant electrical/PLC certifications.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3 - 5 years previous experience.
• Electrical certification/training or 3-5 years experience.
• PLC certification/training or 3-5 years experience.
• Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills and aptitude and logical problem solving skills necessary.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a highly participating work system.
• Ability to work independently in a safe and timely manner necessary.
• Must be motivated towards productivity improvements, safety and quality awareness.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose failures and replace components using diagrams and manuals.
• Repair and maintain machinery including conveyors and production equipment.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical circuits and controls.
• Troubleshoot electrical malfunctions and test safety.
• Work from schematics to locate trouble in electrical systems.
• Utilize PLCs to troubleshoot automated lines.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area following OSHA regulations.
• Prepare new machines for operation and follow preventive maintenance.
• Support production to meet quality targets.
• Other tasks as assigned.
