Job summary

Avery Dennison Corporation is seeking an Industrial Maintenance Technician to lead repairs, preventive maintenance, and uptime for complex machinery. You will diagnose electrical/PLC issues, perform preventive care, and support continuous improvement to reduce downtime.

This 2nd shift role offers an hourly rate with a wage range and requires 3-5 years of experience, appropriate certifications, and strong problem-solving abilities to keep production moving safely.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Classification: Avery Dennison - Internal.
• 3-5 years previous experience.
• Electrical certification/training or 3-5 years experience.
• PLC certification/training or 3-5 years experience.
• Good interpersonal skills, mathematical aptitude, mechanical/technical skills and problem solving.
• Good verbal and written communication.
• Able to work in a fast-paced environment with a participating work system.
• Ability to work independently safely and timely.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostic Repair: Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic/hydraulic components.
• Electrical & PLCs: Read schematics and diagnose faults on automated lines using PLCs.
• Preventative Care: Execute preventive maintenance schedules and maintain equipment per OSHA standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Partner with team members and engineers to reduce downtime and waste, and optimize processes.
• Safety & Support: Maintain a safe work area, record maintenance logs, and support site goals.
