Randstad USA in Swedesboro, NJ is seeking a DC Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance across multiple shifts and keep a fast-moving distribution center running at peak performance. You will manage technicians and Maintenance Area Managers, ensure preventive maintenance schedules, and minimize operational disruptions.

You are a hands-on leader with 5+ years in maintenance and supervision, strong safety awareness, and the ability to coordinate across shifts to improve reliability and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and supervision.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures.
• Maintenance and repairs of conveyors, motor controls, and MHE is highly valued.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the repair and maintenance of equipment; assigns work orders, prioritizing safety and production needs.
• Manages preventive maintenance programs and adherence to schedules.
• Establishes methods and procedures for departmental activities and resolves operational problems.
• Supervises, orients, trains, evaluates, and develops maintenance staff across multiple shifts.
• Oversees garbage/waste disposal program and facility cleaning to keep machinery and premises in good condition.
• Interacts with DC management to ensure maintenance needs are met and facilities are in good order.

You’ll Come With

• High school diploma or equivalent is required, completion of trade school is preferred
• 5+ years of experience in maintenance and supervision
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and safety procedures is essential
• Maintenance and repairs of conveyors, motor controls, and MHE is highly valued
• Analytical skills to gather and interpret data, and to develop effective solutions
• Excellent management, leadership, communication, organizational, and administrative
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and engineering-related programs is necessary for success
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule; including early mornings, nights, weekends and holidays as required
• Ability to lift and move boxes weighing 40 lbs. or more
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

A Day In The Life

• Oversees the repair and maintenance of equipment; assigns work orders, ensuring safety and production-related work orders are the highest priority. Assists maintenance associates with diagnosis and repairs when necessary.
• Manages preventive maintenance programs and ensures schedule is adhered to minimizing downtime.
• Establishes methods and procedures for departmental work activities; identifies and resolves operational problems; and communicates expertise and approval concerning departmental activities.
• Supervises, interviews, orients, trains, evaluates, and develops Maintenance associates across multiple shifts.
• Oversees and ensures building, grounds and equipment are cleaned and maintained to maintain machinery and physical plan.
• Supervises and oversees the facility’s waste disposal program; ensures waste is disposed of according to appropriate regulations.
• Interacts with DC management to ensure maintenance needs are met. Touring facilities to ensure the condition of the facilities is maintained.
