Job summary

Continental is seeking an industrial maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain plant equipment in a non-climate controlled environment. You will perform preventative maintenance and repairs on motors, PLCs, control devices, and electrical components to minimize downtime.

The role requires read and interpret technical documents, fabricate parts, weld, install piping, and perform basic carpentry and sheet metal work.

Qualifications

• Requires an AAS in mechatronics/electrical/mechanical or 5 years industrial maintenance.
• Strong mechanical or electrical aptitude and PLC understanding.
• Ability to use hand tools and precision measuring devices.
• Willing to work 12-hour Panama shift, nights or days, including every other weekend.

Responsibilities

• Install and repair production equipment to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot motors, control devices, PLCs, and PCB assemblies.
• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections.
• Operate machine tools and read work orders and manuals.
• Install and maintain industrial piping systems.
• Perform basic carpentry and fabricate sheet metal components.
• Conduct welding (gas and electric) for repairs.
• Maintain transformers, power distribution, and lighting systems.
