A Day In The Life Of a Mechanic

• Has excellent punctuality/attendance record
• Maintains a positive attitude with team members and throughout the shift
• Communicates with team members effectively
• Follows all safety, quality and procedural standards
• Uses computer systems (CMMS) and email as needed
• Documents information in a timely and accurate manner
• Able to work in 24/7 manufacturing environment, including nights, weekends, scheduled maintenance shutdowns and possibly some holidays
• Able to work overtime for vacation coverage and training purposes
• Work includes, but is not limited to, repair of equipment, routine PMs, troubleshooting complex equipment, reading and interpreting manuals and work orders, maintaining a clean, safe work environment, and active participation in continuous improvement initiatives.
• Work collaboratively with operators in execution and training of operator PMs; respond to equipment process concerns
• Prioritize work orders and effectively utilize CMMS to document performance to work orders. Follow protocols for inventory management.
• Participate in and support the development of Maintenance SOP's.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; adhere to and promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and quality practices; promote effective team collaboration.
• Works as a team to support short- and long-term department and facility goals
• Performs other duties as assigned
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• Must have at least 2+ years’ manufacturing experience and/or experience with preventative/corrective equipment maintenance, repair, troubleshooting
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment which includes, but not limited to: lifting, bending, climbing, standing, crouching, kneeling, walking, talking, hearing, etc.
• Ability to routinely lift/move up to 50lbs and regularly required to taste or smell product
