This role focuses on maintaining and improving industrial machinery performance in a clean, well-lit steel plant that has recently expanded. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, apply process improvement techniques, and use preventative maintenance programs to keep production equipment operating safely and efficiently across second or third shift schedules.
Apply process improvement techniques, tools, and procedures to enhance equipment performance and reliability.
Troubleshoot equipment problems to identify root causes and implement effective corrective actions.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to diagnose issues and perform repairs accurately.
Utilize a preventative maintenance program to maintain equipment and prevent failures before they occur.
Perform regular inspections and maintenance on stamping and other production equipment to maximize uptime.
Record, document, and report maintenance activities, equipment data, and findings in a clear and accurate manner.
Collaborate with team members and other departments to support safe, efficient, and continuous operations.
Lift, move, and handle tools, parts, and equipment components weighing up to 50 pounds as needed for maintenance tasks.
At least 5 years of experience as a maintenance engineer in an industrial environment.
Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Strong understanding of electrical theory and its application in troubleshooting and repair.
Hands-on experience with preventative maintenance programs and practices.
Experience working with stamping equipment and related production machinery.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds safely.
Strong documentation and reporting skills for recording maintenance activities and equipment data.
Demonstrated ability to maximize machinery performance through systematic troubleshooting and process improvement.
Comfort working independently on a small team and taking ownership of assigned equipment.
Attention to detail when interpreting technical information and completing maintenance records.
Willingness to work second shift (MondayFriday, 2:00 p.m.10:30 p.m.) or third shift (MondayFriday, 10:00 p.m.6:30 a.m.) as assigned.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Winder, GA.
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
