Job summary

MAC Incorporated in Wilson, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for our large beverage plant. The role involves preventive and unscheduled maintenance of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment, with emphasis on hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, electrical systems, and PLC-controlled equipment.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience, strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, and the ability to read blueprints and schematics.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing preferred.
• Beverage, food, or high-speed packaging experience preferred.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Experience with PLCs, hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and automated equipment.
• Ability to read machinery blueprints, schematics, and parts manuals.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Must obtain and maintain forklift certification.
• Must be available for overtime, weekends, and varying shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, corrective, and emergency maintenance on production and packaging equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Troubleshoot PLCs, conveyors, motors, controls, and automated equipment.
• Perform equipment setups and production line changeovers.
• Maintain supporting systems including glycol, RO water, compressed air, lubrication, and chemical distribution systems.
• Diagnose equipment failures and complete repairs to minimize downtime.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and equipment manuals.
• Complete and document work orders and parts used.
• Communicate equipment status and maintenance activities between shifts.
• Assist with training other maintenance personnel.
• Follow all GMP, SQF, food safety, PPE, and company safety requirements.
• Support equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.

Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for scheduled, unscheduled, and preventive maintenance of beverage manufacturing and packaging equipment.
