Job description

Our award-winning client is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join their team. Responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, testing, and repairing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and control systems for production lines. This role ensures equipment operates at optimal efficiency, identifies potential issues, and recommends proactive maintenance improvements. The technician plays a vital role in supporting the client’s commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement within a high-speed manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on all plant equipment and systems to ensure safe and efficient operations.
  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and control issues across beverage production lines and facility systems.
  • Maintain accurate preventive maintenance (PM) records and ensure timely completion of all assigned work orders.
  • Monitor and maintain an adequate inventory of tools, spare parts, and maintenance materials.
  • Adhere to all company health, safety, and environmental policies, including OSHA, EPA, and GMP standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food quality and safety regulations, including Safe Quality Food (SQF) requirements.
  • Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately, promoting a culture of workplace safety.
  • Maintain and repair systems and components such as:
    • Electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and water systems
    • Machinery, conveyors, and production line components
    • Roofing, flooring, lighting, and facility infrastructure
    • Door locks, security systems, and related mechanical fixtures
  • Participate in safety and skills training to remain current with industry and regulatory standards.
  • Support the maintenance team by training junior technicians and collaborating across departments to resolve production-related issues.
Required Qualifications
  • Strong written, verbal, and arithmetic skills.
  • Proven ability to multitask and lead maintenance efforts in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Solid knowledge of electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and carpentry systems.
  • Capable of analyzing data and identifying operational trends.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a focus on internal customer service.
  • Must complete the Maintenance Skills Competency Test.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a high-speed manufacturing environment.
Working Conditions
  • Physical: Continuously standing or walking. Regular requirements to lift/handle/carry material or equipment of moderate weight.
  • Visual/Sensory: This position requires a regular need to give moderate attention with one or two senses at a time.
  • Environmental: Repetitive work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to machinery, noise, and varying temperatures.
  • Mental Stress: There is pronounced pressure from deadlines, production quotas, accuracy, or similar demands.
  • Travel: May be minimal travel required as needed for training.
